On December 13, H.E. Cai Weiming, Ambassador of the People’s Republic of China to Solomon Islands paid a courtesy call on Hon. Prime Minister Manasseh Sogavare.

The Ambassador and the PM reviewed with great pleasure the fruitful achievements brought about by the China-SI Comprehensive Strategic Partnership in the past four years, and reaffirmed One-China Principle as the cornerstone of the bilateral relations. Both sides envisaged the prospect of a higher level cooperation in development, infrastructures, trade, investment, education, policing sectors.

On December 14, H.E. Cai Weiming paid another courtesy call on the Speaker of the Parliament H.E. Patterson Oti, and exchanged views with the Speaker on promoting cooperation between the legislatures of China and Solomon Islands.
